Overview
Geoapify MyProjects is the control panel for your Geoapify account and API projects. Use it to create projects, manage API keys, monitor usage, choose plans, share access, and update account settings.
For API endpoints, request parameters, response formats, and integration examples, use the Geoapify API documentation.
How MyProjects is organized
Your account can contain one or more projects. Each project represents an application, website, environment, team, or client.
A project keeps the following resources together:
- API keys and their access restrictions
- Request and credit usage statistics
- Subscription and quota settings
- Collaborator access
- Project ownership and settings
Use separate projects when applications require different billing, ownership, collaborators, or usage boundaries. Within a project, you can create separate API keys for different applications or environments.
Get started
1. Create a project
Sign in, open My projects, and select Create project. Enter a descriptive name that makes the project easy to identify later.
2. Prepare your API keys
MyProjects automatically creates the first API key with your project. You can create more keys for different applications or environments. Separate keys let you apply different restrictions and replace one key without affecting unrelated integrations.
Before using a key, protect it with restrictions appropriate for the application, such as allowed IP addresses, HTTP referrers, or origins. See API keys for detailed guidance.
3. Make your first request
In API keys, open Try API and generate code. Choose a Geoapify API and API key, then try the request or copy one of the generated code samples.
4. Monitor usage
Open Statistics to review requests and credit usage for the selected project, date range, and API key.
5. Review the plan
Open the project's Billing page to review available plans and quota behavior. Subscription details, payment information, and invoices are available from Billing in the account menu.

Before going live
Before using an API key in production:
- Apply the available restrictions to every key.
- Use separate keys for development, staging, and production.
- Check project usage and quota behavior.
- Confirm that project ownership and collaborator access are current.
- Avoid committing API keys to public source code.
Frequently asked questions
1Is MyProjects the same as the Geoapify API documentation?
No. MyProjects manages projects, credentials, usage, billing, and account access. The API documentation explains endpoints, parameters, responses, and integration options.
2Do I need a Geoapify account?
You can read Help without signing in. You need an account to create projects, obtain API keys, and use the MyProjects management features.
3What is created when I create a project?
MyProjects creates a new project and its first API key. Open the project's API keys page to copy, describe, restrict, or replace the key.
4Should I create another project or another API key?
Create another project when you need separate billing, ownership, collaborators, or usage boundaries. Create another API key when applications or environments can remain in the same project but need separate credentials or restrictions.
5Where can I see how many requests my application has made?
Open the project and select Statistics. You can review request and credit usage for a date range and, when needed, filter it by API key.
6Where can I manage invoices and payment information?
Open Subscriptions & Billing from the account menu to review active and past-due subscriptions and invoices across your projects. Select Manage subscription to open a project's Plan & Billing page for plan, billing-detail, and payment-method actions.
7What should I do if an API key is exposed?
Create a replacement key, update the affected application, and then remove the exposed key. Apply suitable restrictions to the replacement before using it in production.
